Pretty much on a whim yesterday I decided I wanted to learn how to knit so that I can make my own baby hats. I've been trying to do more photography lately and one of my favorite props used in newborn photography are these adorable little hats. After ordering a few I realized it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper to make my own. So I did! And it's surprisingly easy!

This one on the top left was my very first one, I made it for the baby on the way and also made a matching one in a larger size for Andy. On the right is the first one I made today, for a friend.

This pink/white one I made today to use tomorrow doing some photos for a friend who just had her baby last week! I can't wait to actually use these in photos!!!

And this last one looks like a large hat but it's not really. It's a cocoon. You stick the baby in there and they look all cute and bunched up and wrapped up in this oversize hat looking thing. You'll see what I mean, it's cute!!! It's actually more turqoise looking in real life, didn't photograph well on my phone!
So that's my new hobby! Fun stuff! My hands hurt now! :)
