Addicted

Yep, Andy is addicted to playing games on my iPad. I think he thinks it's his. It's not. Mother of the year, right? In my defense, there's several learning games on there and he's getting really good at identifying letters thanks to one called Bee Sees. He gets really proud of himself too. So it's not all useless games. :)

Two days worth in one?

So I realized this morning that I completely forgot about posting last night! Whoops! So today you get two days worth in one. I had a vision in my mind that I thought would be SO CUTE! Turns out it probably is but it's SO HARD to do (at least by yourself!). If I was writing on someone else it'd probably turn out better. You get the concept though.
What I REALLY wanted to write on my belly is "I am beautiful" or "Natural Beauty" but it tuns out that was way too difficult. So I went to the old standby of "Love." I still think it's a super cute concept, but it'd be a lot easier to do on someone else and would look a lot cuter if I had halfways decent editing skills. I really need to take a class. And I need to get a Lightscoop to get rid of that horrid flash shadow!!! Here's a few more.

What an imagination!

Tonight's blog post (like many others) is dedicated to my sweet boy Andy and his vivid imagination. You might not be able to tell, but he is actually making me some hot chocolate in the bathtub here. Isn't that sweet?

My first crochet flower!

So this is all you get tonight. I may have given up on real knitting. It is just way too time consuming and hard on my hands. Crochet takes much less time and you still get very cute stuff! This is my first attempt at a flower and I think it turned out pretty well! I made a hat today but don't love it so I'm going to keep working on it and see how that goes!

Making Tracks

Did a little mini shoot on some train tracks on base with my friend Laura and her cutie pie Payton. Here are a few of my faves! I think they turned out pretty good!

So I guess this is nesting...

But I'm certainly not the only person in the house who is doing it! Within days of me mentioning it, Andrew disassembled the twin bed we had in our spare room and had it stowed in the garage. That same day he reassembled Andy's crib. We picked up this changing table $20 just the previous day. Yesterday we picked up some hardware to make this drop-side crib stationary. He also brought the pack n play from the garage and put it in this room since we anticipated using it in our bedroom before we start leaving the baby in his crib! What a great daddy!

Natalie Night!

So usually once a week we meet Natalie and Natalie's mommy and brother for dinner and fun. Andy tells me that he loves Natalie. She is his girlfriend. That's ok with me because she's super cute.

And Andy also loves his new Nautilus. :)

Fun With Paint

Oh the fun that can be had with a little bit of paint. Of course Andy was a willing participant today. I like how these turned out. I think I need to edit them in Adobe so that they are print-worthy because they are so cute and Andy had a blast!

Just to give you an idea....

of the difference between using the round knitting looms and ACTUAL knitting with knitting needles and hard work. I completed this - 9 rows of knitting stitches - in the same amount of time that it would take me to make at least 4 whole newborn hats using the round loom. Craziness I tell ya. My hand hurts!!!! It looks nicer and is a much tighter weave though, so it's better quality and worth more, but damn it's a lot of work! I've got my work cut out for me!

Just goofing around today.

I wonder if my father remembers this giraffe. He had it when *I* was a little girl and now Andy loves it.

Andy likes to share his food, here he's offering me some mac n cheese.

Here he's showing off his awesome badass tat courtesy of "Lily's Mom"! :) In the other pic you can see his badass face. I told him to look badass. lol

Just me and the boy!

It's quit nice out today so I felt like we had to go to the park or do something outside. So Andy and I went out, picked up McDonalds, and headed to the park. I got some cute shots of him on the swings and also got a few pics of some begging squirrels that we were tossing fries to. It was a fun day

Could you deny this little cutie?

Also, got home and found these starting to bloom in front of my house!!!! Yay for spring!!!!!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

It was a great day today! I am officially 24 weeks! Andrew and I were off work together today so we brought Andy to school (hehe) and had the day to ourselves. Started out by dropping off the truck to get new tires.

Bought this at Kohl's. Couldn't help myself!

Then had lunch together at Red Robin in Fort Collins before heading back to Cheyenne. Fun times.

My New Hobby

Pretty much on a whim yesterday I decided I wanted to learn how to knit so that I can make my own baby hats. I've been trying to do more photography lately and one of my favorite props used in newborn photography are these adorable little hats. After ordering a few I realized it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper to make my own. So I did! And it's surprisingly easy!

This one on the top left was my very first one, I made it for the baby on the way and also made a matching one in a larger size for Andy. On the right is the first one I made today, for a friend.

This pink/white one I made today to use tomorrow doing some photos for a friend who just had her baby last week! I can't wait to actually use these in photos!!!

And this last one looks like a large hat but it's not really. It's a cocoon. You stick the baby in there and they look all cute and bunched up and wrapped up in this oversize hat looking thing. You'll see what I mean, it's cute!!! It's actually more turqoise looking in real life, didn't photograph well on my phone!

So that's my new hobby! Fun stuff! My hands hurt now! :)

There's No Place Like Home

I really, really like how this turned out. It totally reminds me of the Kansas scenes in the Wizard of Oz. Can you see that? This is a fence near one of the lakes on base. I always thought it'd be cute for pictures and looks like I was right.

So much for the outdoors

Not sure how I feel about this. I had planned on going outside and getting some pre-spring pictures but then the weather decided to get crappy and dumped some snow on us out of nowhere. So I wouldn't get much out there. So you get another maternity shot. Like I said, it's my easy out. I kinda like this but kinda don't. Oh well.

I love weekends

It's really too bad about the lighting in this. I need to get some lamps in this room. Just having a lazy Saturday. Weekends are great because 1. I can sleep in. and 2. I get to hang out with Andy all day before I go to work! Tomorrow will be even better because it's our bowling day! Yay!

I always look better in black & white, lol.

Woo, wood floors!

Well ok so it's just laminate but still. It looks a lot prettier than carpet! I need to get more of it though because this doesn't cover very much space. It's perfect for doing baby pics though, I can't wait to do that!

Ok so I have terrible editing skills, but whatever. I need to work on that! These top two pics are really just redoing poses I have tried in the past. I wanted to see how they'd look with the wood. I like it but my lighting sucks. I guess that's my next project. :)

And here's a shot so you can actually see the pretty wood. Oooh, aaah. This pose didn't quite turn out like I had hoped but oh well. I like the wood.
