My year in pictures. I plan on taking at least one photo per day and blogging about it. I was unsuccessful with keeping up with this last year and will be doing it this year!

Pink or Blue?

Just "baby" for now. :-)
I think this could be a lot better but for my first try it isn't bad. My backdrop is just a white sheet after all. I need to get a black one too. But I wanted to try the concept. Oh well, practice makes perfect, right?
This second one is ok too. I'm not sure how to do better, I think my arms are just too short to make it work! lol.

Whiteout!
The snow started about an hour ago and has already dusted the ground and roads. The clouds are pure white and the snow falling is all you can see, visibility is pretty low. This is what you call Whiteout Conditions. Fun stuff. It's supposed to continue snowing all night tonight, all day tomorrow and even Saturday as well. Isn't that just dandy?
Here's Andy's climbing toy from the backyard, you can see the snow falling in this one contrasted with the colors on the toy.

One more week!
A belly shot seems to be the easy way out when I've gone all day without taking any pics. 20 weeks, 4 days today. Just one more week until we find out if we have a baby Annabelle in there or if we need to work harder to agree on a boy name! lol. This isn't actually a maternity top but it was in the back of my closet and looked like it could work like one, and it mostly does. Not quite enough fabric in front to last long, but it works for now. Kinda cute.

I'm cheating.
So I admit it, I didn't take any new photos today. I worked until 4, had my first lab practical for A&P at 5:30 and went to see a movie with my boys and a friend and her kids at 7:00 so I've had a pretty full day and didn't have any inspiration when I got home except to hit the sack. So here's what you get, a couple mobile pics from 2 days ago.
Inspired by a friend I decided to ask Andy to draw a dinosaur and see what he'd come up with. The top photo here is his first attempt. The circle on the right is the head I think, and the rest is..... a mystery. The other photo is his second attempt because he really wanted to try again. Much more dinousarish don't you think? I love it. Definitely refrigerator worthy. Happy Friday!

Halfway there!
Made it to the 20 week mark today! Yay! I'm not entirely convinced there's only one in there though. We should find out on the 28th. I really don't have much to photograph lately and don't have much time to take pictures of what I do have. Oh well.... belly it is. And lots of Andy too. Hard to go wrong there. :)

My funny Valentine
What a sweet boy. In case you missed the story on facebook. I got home from work this afternoon to hear Andy yelling from the bathroom "Mommy, is that you?" When I said that it was he jumped off the toilet forgetting to wipe his butt and led me to the kitchen because he was SO excited to show me what he and his daddy had purchased for me at the store that afternoon. Isn't he sweet? Little goofy butt.

Practicing...

He loves his tooth brush!
Apparently a dentist visited Andy's classroom at school today and everyone got a goody bag. In the bag was a toothbrush, a bouncy ball with a smiling tooth in it, some handouts, a sticker, and a little timer to help the kids know how long to brush their teeth. Andy's been excited about it all day and as soon as we got home from dinner he wanted to brush his teeth with his new toothbrush and timer. And so he did!

Playing in the tub.
I love this kid, I really do. He loves bathtime. After we're done washing and brushing his teeth he gets to stay in there by himself playing and I love hearing him talking to his toys and developing these funny stories with them and doing voices and everything. He has such an imagination already! We still only fill the tub up to about his belly button, is that strange for a 3.5 yr old? Oh well, better safe than sorry.

My Valentine
Having fun making a Valentine's Day card this year. Don't think I'll have them done early enough to actually mail them, but anyway... maybe next year I'll do it long enough in advance so that I can! I love the effects on this photo, who would have known photobucket had some pretty neat effects?? Now I do. Coolness.

Yes I'm that mom...
that lets her kid play on the playground in 30 degree temps. Better call CPS! I figured after yesterday's -23 that 30 was pretty hot! lol. We only stayed out there for a couple minutes anyway until the wind made me change my mind.
I really like his face in this one, too bad for the ugly garbage can in the background. I wish I were better at photoshop, I'd try to edit it out. Taking swinging pictures can be hard!

Poor doggies
No we aren't forcing our dogs to stay outside all day with temps in the negative teens and windchills in the negative 20s and 30s. What kind of animal lover do you think I am? We do let them out to go potty every couple hours and this is what happens after a few minutes. They're so pitiful aren't they?
In related news. These are the coldest temps I have ever endured. You'd think I'd be craving some hot cocoa or soup or other warm things, but no. What do I want? Ice cream. So I had some. :)
